   The Draft

How many of each position do I draft?
3 QBs, 4 RBs, 4 WRs, 2 TEs, 2 Ks and 2 Ds.

How do you determine the draft order?
The previous year's playoff results and won-loss records. The team with the worst record drafts first and so on.

So this is a keeper league?
Yes. We do this to make our teams feel more like franchises.

How many players do I protect each year?
Each team will protect 2 players from his roster. You will announce your protected players on draft day.

May I  trade players for draft position?
Yes but you can't end up with more than 17 players on your roster.

May I trade draft positions with another owner?
Yes. For example, you may trade positions or "trade down" in one round in order to move up in another.

May I draft an injured player?
Yes. BUT BUT A PLAYER WHO WAS INJURED WHEN YOU DRAFTED HIM MAY NOT BE PLACED
ON INJURED RESERVE  UNTIL WEEK THREE.  Only players injured in WEEK ONE may be put on IR for week two.

take each team's second-highest scoring reserve, and so on.

Lineups

How do I turn in a lineup?
Every league member should  email your weekly lineup to BOTH goodmanj@ntplx.net AND your weekly
opponent.  You may also post it on the trash talk page. You may also CALL IN your lineups. Again, your
opponent AND the commissioner should receive your weekly lineup.

What if I forget to turn in my lineup?
Your previous week's lineup will be used.  If this happens, there is a chance a player on your roster may have a
bye week and thus score no points for your team that week.

What if I'm late turning in my lineup?
If you're just a few minutes late, that's up to your opponent.  If you are too late, your lineup from the previous week
will be used. What is too late? AFTER KICKOFF IS TOO LATE!!

What if there are Thursday or Saturday games?
Either turn in your entire lineup early or turn in only the players playing in those games. You must turn in the rest of
your players before Sunday's games.

Trades

When can I make trades?
You may trade players between Tuesday and Friday of any given week. Trades must be called in or
emailed before 6pm Eastern on Friday.

Can I trade several players for just one?
Yes, you can trade any number of players to another team. However, if you trade 3 players for 1 for example, you
must remedy the roster "imbalance" by the roster move deadline, Friday of each week. The bottom line is, by
the deadline, you must have 3 QB's, 4 RB's, 4 WR's, 2 TE's, 2 Kickers, and 2 Defenses.

When is the trade deadline?
The day before  Thanksgiving. The final trade can be made NO LATER THAN 6pm Wednesday, November 22nd.

Free Agent Moves

When can I make a free agent move?
Between Tuesday and Friday of any given week. Free agent pickup requests must be emailed to me before 6pm
Eastern on Friday.

How do I make a free agent move?
Just email your request to goodmanj@ntplx.net

How many do I get?

One per week.

What if two or more teams attempt to pick up the same player?
Priority will be given to the owner whose team has the worst record. If both teams have the same record, the team
with the fewest total points will be given priority.

Should I make more than one request per week?
Yes. If there are other players you want leave at least one other choice. Someone else may get your first choice.

May I make a free agent move after the regular season (after Week 14)?
Only if you are IN the playoffs.

Injured Reserve Moves

Who can be put in Injured Reserve?
Only a player who is officially listed as OUT on NFL.COM on Friday at 6pm.

If any player on my roster is listed as OUT, can I put him on IR?
Yes.

When may I make my first Injured Reserve move?
Week TWO, but only for players injured in week one. Players who were injured on draft day may not be put
on IR until Week THREE. In the rare instance a player is injured AFTER the draft but  BEFORE the season, that
player may go on IR for Week TWO. A player may NEVER be put on IR on Week ONE.

How do I make an Injured Reserve move?
Email the move to goodmanj@ntplx.net  (by 6pm Friday) If a player is listed as OUT, you may place him on IR
and pick up a free agent to replace him on your roster.

What if someone else attempts to pick up the same player I made for my injury reserve move?
Teams with injury moves get priority over free agent pickups.  Rank is given first to injury reserve then to
worst record. If two teams with injury reserve moves at the same position attempt to pick up the same player
priority will be given to the team with the worst record.

Do I get free agent pick-up priority for an IR move if the player wasn't in my starting lineup the previous week?
No. You only get free agent pick-up priority when the player was in your starting lineup the previous week.
You may still make an IR move in addition to your weekly free agent pickup, but it will be treated with the same
weight as a regular free agent move, and any priority will be based on your record.

When can I remove a player from injured reserve?
You must remove him when he is no longer listed as OUT.  You must keep an injured player on your roster
for a week after he is removed from IR. If it's a running back, for example, you must cut another running back
from your roster since you are only allowed four RB's. You may not cut a player the same week he is removed
from injured reserve.

Can I place more than one player on IR
?
No. Only one player on your roster can be on injured reserve.

Can I make an IR move and a free agent move both in the same week?
Yes. Everyone is allowed one free agent move every week. If one of your starters is listed as OUT, you can make
both an IR move AND a free agent move that week (but again, the player you are putting on IR must have started
on your team the previous week).

Playoffs

How many teams get in?
The top FOUR teams in the league advance to the playoffs.

What if two or more teams have the same record at the end of the season?
Head to head competition during the season is the first tiebreaker. If you split two games during the season,
total points scored will be the second tiebreaker.

How are pairings determined in the playoffs?
Just like the NFL, teams are seeded. Pairings will go: 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3. The winners play the next week for the
WPFL Championship.

League Dues are $80 per team. Here are the payouts for the four playoff teams:

  Champion=$450
  2nd Place=$250
   3rd Place=$125
   4th Place=$75

The remaining $60 will be used to pay the annual fee for the league software program.
