The driver's seat above and below is manufactured by Kirkey to custom specifications to appear more correct in older cars. The high back and the shoulder side bolsters of a typical Kirkey seat have been removed. My original Abarth seat was not made for racing, nor does it offer adequate protection for the driver in nthe event of a rear end collision.
Above: Here's how the seat looks in bare aluminum, before installation. The sides were painted in black Hammerite, often used by Abarth.
Above: Here's how the seat looks with its snap on upholstery. I'm not happy with the cheap 'dune buggy' appearance, but the seat is comfortable to sit in and very sturdy. Eventually, I hope to replace the upholstery with something that matches the quality and appearance of rest of the interior better.
