The mission of the Supervisor of Language Arts and Library Media is to oversee the K-12 language arts and library media programs.  Working closely with district reading consultants and classroom teachers allows us to guide students to develop life-long skills in reading both fiction and non-fiction, speaking, listening and writing.  Thus, this collaborative partnership will ensure that all students are offered similar experiences by making sure there is continuity across grade levels and buildings.

Here at Region 10 we believe that all students can learn and therefore try and differentiate instruction as much as possible.  Student assessment data including but not limited to CMT, CAPT and benchmark performance assessment data are monitored and used to drive instruction. 

Lastly, district library media specialists work together and in conjunction with classroom and technology teachers to build a comprehensive research experience for students in grades 3-11.
