First Grade Leaf Walk

Back To Grade One Home Page

To help celebrate fall, and practice making observations using our five senses, we went on a fall leaf walk. Students in Mrs. DuCotey's, Miss Fairwood's and Mr. Yashenko's classes used their eyes, hears, noses, and fingers to make observations about the nature that surrounds Lake Garda.  Students collected leaves, bean pods, twigs, acorns and grass and created a leaf scrap book. The book helped students with sorting, patterns and using describing words to write about the fall!  It was a fun filled fall day for one and all!
