Dr. David Monti, Professor Emeritus, from Central Connecticut State University and nationally known Reading and Language Arts Consultant, visited Lake Garda School on October 17, 2006. Dr. Monti modeled lessons using non-fiction for students and teachers in grades 1, 2, 3 and 4. Teachers took part in a follow-up question and answer period.

Teachers will employ many of the strategies observed within their own classrooms. Dr. Monti’s visit was informative and enjoyable.
