Ms. Cleveland’s AM and PM kindergarten classes have gotten off to a great start this year. Here they are on the classroom meeting mat, where we not only do our opening activities, but patterning, read-alouds, and sing-alongs as well.

Students in Ms. Cleveland’s AM class say good-bye to their Student Teacher, Miss Fischer, with some special teacher gifts.
Miss Fischer has been with us since the first day of school. We will miss her!

Students in Ms. Cleveland’s PM class made gingerbread houses with their Student Teacher, Miss Fischer. Several student projects are in various stages of completion. Thanks to the parent helpers for a great project idea!

In connection with our class study of school and bus safety, Mr. Garry visited the kindergarten classes to discuss bus rules and bus safety. We also practiced bus evacuation procedures.

Kindergarten classes were treated to a visit from the Burlington volunteer firefighters and paramedics during Fire Prevention week. Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow for us to view the fire truck, but students were invited to visit the fire station on Halloween.
|

Our AM class meets with Mrs. Godin’s 2nd grade class on a weekly basis to share books and related activities. We have covered problem and solution, sequence, and text-to-world connections. The PM class will have this opportunity later in the year.

Kindergarten and first grade students participated in curriculum connected Halloween activities followed by the annual Halloween parade.
