LAKE GARDA BEGINNING 4th GRADE BAND

The Lake Garda Beginning Band is in full swing practicing for their three concerts in the spring. The band consists of ninety dedicated players who have a thirty minute lesson and a forty five minute band period each week. The band is working on several tunes including marches, jazzy tunes and the very powerful,"Parade of the Gladiators."

During the first two weeks of January, the band had the pleasure of a student musician from The Hartt College work with us. Katie Tewksbury is a freshman music education major who is studying to be a band director. Katie is a former student of mine from Lake Garda and is a very accomplished euphonium player. Katie worked beside me helping with lessons and playing her instrument with the band. The students and I really enjoyed having her with us.
