Here are some of the books that we read in Grade One

First graders are exposed to various authors and illustrators. We share several selections by the same author, learn about the author’s life and look for similarities and differences within their books.
	Many of the selections become favorites and other selections by the same author are explored on their own. As the year progresses and first graders reading skills improve, easy readers are stressed.
We have compared and contrasted many different versions of fairy tales, many becoming our new favorites.
