Kellog-Eddy House

Kellogg-Eddy House
The Kellogg/Eddy House was built by Captain Martin Kellogg's great grandson in 1808.  As a young man, Martin Kellogg lived in Deerfield, Massachusetts.  Captain Martin Kellogg settled in Newington in 1734.  Kellogg had some Indian boys come and live with him. He taught them to read and write and is considered Newington's first teacher.  The Martin Kellogg School was named in his honor in 1959.  Today the house is a historical museum.
