1.Get Set! My First Pokemon |
The first episode was impressive, though hard to see. Pikachu looks down on Satoshi, a beginning trainer, reluctant to be with him. Rejected by his first friend, Satoshi tries to capture a monster by himself as he finds Pidgey, a bird-type monster. He, however, fails, and by accident provokes Spearow who has been near him. Spearow is also bird-typed, but aggressive. He aims at him with his sharp-pointed beak; Wild monsters dislike ones tamed by people, and often give battles to them. Spearow targets Pikachu. Pikachu shoots an electric beam. Spearow gets a shock, flies away, then calls--to summon others of his species. His flock. A boy and Pokemon run away, side by side, sensing offensive sprits of Spearows behind themselves. Pikachu stumbles, and Spearows swarm over him, insistantly pecking him. When Satoshi manages to rescue him, he is seriously hurt. "No, Pikachu... We met just today" A sob breaks in Satoshi's tone, when he tells Pikachu weak on the ground. Satoshi got a bicycle from a girl (Kasumi. He saw her them), and ran through a mountain road with Pikachu in the basket. On the way the bicycle tumbled, and they were thrown to hit the ground. And Pikachu was too feeble to get up... Spearows are near them now. Satoshi places a monster ball before Pikachu; Pikachu is afraid to be in the ball, but Satoshi thinks that he may be safe in it. "Be in it," Satoshi tells Pikachu. Seeing Pikachu nod, Satoshi faces Spearows, shielding his small friend. It thunders, flashing around them. Pikachu leaps up, his cheek pouch sparkling electric sparks. He shoots electric beams. Spearows fly away. Pikachu and Satoshi look at each other, recognizing strong bonds of friendship between them now. |
2.A Battle at a Pokemon Center |
Pikachu needs to be treated at a Pokemon center. Satoshi rushes to it
and trusts him to Dr. Joi. The Rocket gang appears on his way. Satoshi
and Pikachu, who has been recovered, are teamed up to drive them back.

3.Got Pokemons! | They are in Tokiwa forest, seeking for the way to Nibi city. A cute girl Kasumi follows them. Satoshi gets Catapee, a larva-type monster, and Pigeon, a pigeon-type monster. Catapee successfully defeats the Rocket gang and transforms to Trancell, a chrysalis-type monster. |
4.Samurai's Challenge | Still in Tokiwa forest. They sees Samurai, who desires to fight Satoshi. In the middle of the battle, a flock of spears break in and one of them pillages Trancell. When Satoshi takes him back, he transforms to Butterflee and defeats spears. |
5.The Battle at the Nibi Gym | To join the pocket monster league, you must collect some budges from gym trainers in some areas. Satoshi challenges Takeshi at the Nibi gym. His Iwake, a craggy-snake-type monster, is huge, scaring Pikachu. He gives up, but takes a hard training for a return much. Moved by Pikachu and Satoshi's friendship, Takeshi gifts them with a budge and joins the party. |
6. Pippies and the Moon Stone | They are in the Mount Otsukimi, coming across Pippi, an elf monster. Pikachu chums up with him immediately, and learns from him that he and his friends deify the moon stone, of which pieces are now regarded as a popular method to raise to transform monsters. The Rocket gang is tempted to steal it. Pippies fight them, successfully driving them back to protect the stone. |
7. Flowers at Hanada City | To win the second budge, Satoshi and Pikachu visit the Hanada Gym at Hanada city. They then learn that Kasumi is one of the owners of the gym. Satoshi should challenge her, but Pikachu is reluctant to fight her monsters. Satoshi sends Butterflee, a butterfly monster. The Rocket gang breaks in in the middle of the battle. Pikachu shoots an electric beam to dump them. Satoshi and Kasumi end in a draw, her sisters gives Satoshi a budge, admitting Satoshi's ability and potential. |
8. Toward the Pokemon League | Akira is a strong trainer, who has won the 98th successive victory. Satoshi challenges with Butterflee, but is defeated easitly. Akira is a harsh trainer for his monsters. Satoshi flares up, argueing him. But Akira cares for his monsters, and they respond to him with equal trusts. Akira defeats the Rocket gang after that, winning the 100th victory. |
9. The Victory Manual | In the Pokemon seminar, students study hard to be a great pokemon trainer. Satoshi, under the circumstances, does battle with one of the elite, Seiyo Yuto, who sends Kara Kara, a small monster with a skull on his head. He dodges Pikachu's electric beam, so Pikachu fights him with bodily attacks. The battle impress students there, telling them that the manual is just a manual. |
10. Fushigidane at a Hiding Place |
Lost in a forest, Satoshi sees Fushigidane, an amphibian monster with a big seed on his back. They lean that hurted monsters in the forest, protected by Fushigidane. As the Rocket gang storms to collect monsters there, Satoshi saves them with his all might. Fushigidane is moved, deciding to be with him. |
11. Lost Alone | They see a Hitokage, a lizard-type monster with flames on his tail, in a forest. Pikachu talks with him, learning that he is waiting for his trainer there. However, they find later that his trainer has dumped him. Assailed by a heavy rain, Hitokage is rooted in the place they saw him the first time when they arrive to save him. The flames on his tail is fading. It fades away, Hitokages will die.They take him to a pokemon center, and then he recovers soon. He realizes that his trainer has tricked him, and decides to go with Satoshi. |
12. We Are the Zenigame Gang! | Dumped by heartless trainers, Zenigames team up to be a gang. The Rocket gang cunningly uses them to get Pikachu. When they are almost successed, Zenigames recognize that they are betrayed. And they are moved by Satoshi, who saves their leader at the risk of his life, deciding to cooperate with him to get Pikachu, who has snatched by the Rocket gang, back. Then the leader of them becomes a new friend of Satoshi. |
13. Masaki at a Lighthouse | Masaki, a pokemon scholar, believes an existence of a monster in a vision and is waiting for him to come at his lighthouse. The night Satoshi and his friends visit him, the monster appeares. The Rocket gang is there, too, intruding their meeting. The monster leaves, without revealing his figure before them. Masaki dreams of the day he can see him someday in the future. |
14. A Heated Battle at the Cuchiba Gym | After a couple of weeks of roaming in a forest, they arrive at Kuchiba city.
Satoshi and Pikachu challenge the gym trainer Matisse and his monster Raichu. Pikachu is reluctant to fight him at first, shrinked by the evolved monster of his. However, he is a bad loser. Bantered by Matisse and Raichu, he let his fighting spirits surge through his small body. Raichu is strong, and Pikachu is beated harshly. The only way left to win Raichu is that Pikachu would transform to Raichu, too. But Pikachu refuses the suggestion flatly. After a hard training, he challenges Raichu again, and exerts his strategy to win Raichu. Matisse and Raichu admire his fighting spirits, and give him big hands. |
15. A Battle on the St. Annu | The Rocket gang plans to collect pokemon trainers on a luxury liner, St. Annu, and snatch their monsters. Satoshi and his friends are tricked, as other trainers are. They cooperate to rout the gang, however. When they believe their vitory, they find a storm assails the ship. They barely escape in life boats with their lives, except Satoshi and his friends, and the couple and Nyase from the Rocket gang left in the sinking ship. |
16. Drifters | They decide to cooperate to get out of the sinking ship. After arriving at the surface of the sea, they find no island or ship in their sight. Hardly bearing starvation, they wish they could eat Koi King, a fish-type monster, that Kojiro owns. But Koi King has bones and hide, not flesh. Kojiro gets mad, and kickes to dump him into the sea. The next moment Koi King transforms to Gyarados, a brutal monster. He brings a hurricane, which engulfs them. |
17. Huge Monsters in a Island | A memorial broadcasting with subtitles for monsters' words. Pikachu, Nyase, and other monsters find that they are in an island they don't know, after a harsh assail of Gyarados. Their trainers and the couple of the Rocket gang are not in the sight. They roam down the island, seeking for their trainer, while their missing persons are somewhere in the island, their trainers calling their names, and the couple of the Rocket gang seeking for the way to escape. Huge monsters are in the island, and they assail lost monsters and kids. In the end, they can see each other, finding the huge monsters are just mechanical. |
18. A Holiday at Aopluco | Satoshi's mother and Dr. Ohkido, who gifted Satoshi with Pikachu, happen to come to Aopluco, a resort when they arrive. They then find Ryu, an old man who runs a beach house, is annoyed, seeking for the way to pay off his debts. They helps him with an idea to provide entertainment and attract notice. Ryu, adopts their idea and holds the contest for the Queen Sunburn and disguised pokemons. The Rocket gang intrudes and spectators get into a panic, but Satoshi and his monsters successfully drive them back. And his mother wins the title. |
19. MenoKurages and a DokuKurage | The plan to construct a high-class hotel is promoted at Hatoba port. However, the construction intrudes dens of marine creatures. The patience of MenoKurages and a DokuKurage, jellyfish-type monsters, has reached the limit. They land at the port, destroying the town. Facing their hatred, human beings realize what they have done to them for the first time. Pikachu and Kasumi tell monsters that, and ask them to go back. They admit their faith, and go back to the sea. |
20. A Ghost Monster and Summer Festival | Takeshi and Kojiro fall in love with a cute girl as they see her. They find later that she has been dead for the past 2, 000 years and that they saw her spirit. But the fact is that Ghose, a ghost-type monster, desguise himself as the girl, in hope on remindeing people of the girl's legend. Takeshi's friends and Musashi fight Ghose to save poor boys in love. But Ghose disappears when the morning comes. |
