Heathkit 3600/3700 PC Interface Upgrade

This project seeks to modify the Heathkit 3600 (Analog Trainer) and 3700 (Digital Trainer)
in a manner which allows interfacing to the parallel-port of nearl any PC-compatible computer.

Project Goals:

• Low cost - as usual.
• Easy to construct, even for instructors!
• Flexibility - let's get the most out of this!

Ways to use the Heathkit 3600/3700 PC Interface Upgrade

Here is a list of possible lab projects which could be designed using this new interface:

• D/A experiments.
• A/D experiments, using the single-slope method (just like many DVMs use!).
• Logic stimulus for previously boring digital labs.
• Audio source (usign a D/A) for analog amplifier and filter circuits.
• Any other ideas?
