Single Wall Day Tanks With Pumps And Controls
|
Phillips Pump single wall (PDT) day tanks provide a ready supply of oil
or diesel fuel for boilers, diesel generators, or other stationary, engine-driven or burner-fired
equipment. With capacities ranging from 25 to 500 gallons, Phillips Pump
day tanks may be selected
for maximum fuel capacity for placement in a minimum amount of space.
Our PDT series of single wall day tank/pump systems includes 2 GPM pump(s) as standard
with pump / level controller, a
mechanical gauge for visual level indication, a UL sized vent port, a
4" NPT inspection / emergency vent
port, 2" NPT manual fill port, 1" NPT pump fill, engine supply, engine return,
overflow, and drain ports.
All tanks are manufactured in accordance with a UL 142 label and meet NFPA 30 standards. Each Phillips
Pump day tank is constructed from 10 gauge steel, internally reinforced and seam welded to provide long lasting
life in rugged industrial and commercial environments.
Each Tank/Pump System Includes:
- Heavy gauge, seam welded, reinforced steel tank with heavy gauge steel channel support base with
mounting holes
- Mechanical tank gauge for visual level indication
- Factory mounted 2 GPM positive displacement gear pumps with open drip-proof motors as standard
for fuel oil supply and/or return (higher flow rates, TEFC or explosion proof motors available)
- Corrosion-resistant internal epoxy coating
- Complete array of fittings and connections (see single wall fitting schedule under storage tanks)
- Engine supply and pump ports with supplied with drop tubes
- Multi-level probe for pump on/off operation and low level or high level alarms
- 150% optional rupture containment basin available
- Day tank controller, tank top factory installed, with illuminated pump manual off automatic mode
selector switches, power on, low and high level alarm indication lights, audible alarm, press to
test and system reset push-buttons and alarm dry contact for interfacing to building
management systems
- Tank, pump and control options available
to meet the specific requirements for each application
- 115 VAC, single phase, 60 Hz, other volts and three phase systems are available

Day Tank / Pump System Combinations
|
|
PDTS Series - Single wall day tank system with a single supply pump where the fuel
can drain by gravity back to the main storage tank
(suggested specification).
|
PDTR Series - Single wall day tank system typically used for overflow tank
situations where the fuel source is above the day tank. System comes complete
with a single return pump only (suggested specification).
|
|
PDTSS Series - Single wall day tank system typically used in mission critical
situations where supply must be maintained. System comes complete with (2)
supply pumps with automatic pump alternation and automatic lag pump start on low
level alarm (suggested specification).
|
PDTSR Series - Single wall typically used in day tank systems where the main storage
tank is on the same level with the day tank when a single supply pump is required
with a single return to drain tank in a high level alarm condition
(suggested specification).
|
|
PDTRR Series - Single wall day tank system typically use for overflow tank
situations where the fuel source is above the day tank and a back up pump is
required. System comes complete with (2) return pumps, automatic return pump
alternation with automatic lag return pump start on a high level alarm
(suggested specification).
|
PDTSSR Series - Single wall day tank system with duplex (2) supply and (1) return
pump typically used in mission critical systems when fuel supply must be maintained
and where the main storage tank is on the same level. System comes complete with
(2) supply pumps, with supply automatic pump alternation, automatic lag supply pump start
on low level alarm and a single return to drain tank in a high level alarm situation
(suggested specification).
